Relate, Reflect and Ruminate: Eyes to Everything

Because sometimes, emotions don’t fit into bullet points and I have a flare for the dramatic.

For those feeling overwhelmed by the world's constant stimuli.

I see everything

Every edge

Every shadow

Every scale

Every part of the gestalt

All at once

My brain forked like lightning

Every piece of the world in a split second

No time to process, but right now

Exploding in a million little flashes

When you look at me

My eyes wide like a cat on catnip

Regurgitating my mind through the filter of my eyes

Every jittery action a relief of my overwhelm

Overachiever or uncontrolled overstimulation?

Tired yet constantly moving

Yet this awareness follows me always

Always moving

Always racing

Never pacing

Only to collapse

When its charge dissipates

πŸ—οΈ Three Paths to Make This Yours - Unlock Your Understanding:

How can I harness my sensitivity to stimuli to fuel my growth?

  • 🧠 The Thinker’s Path: I would analyse my thoughts and emotions to understand my triggers.

    • 🧠 Take a few minutes each day to journal your thoughts and emotions, identifying patterns and triggers.

  • 🌿 The Wanderer’s Path: I would allow myself to flow with the stimuli, observing my reactions.

    • 🌿 Practice mindfulness, allowing yourself to fully immerse in the present moment, without judgment

  • πŸ”₯ The Challenger’s Path: I would challenge my limits, pushing myself to tolerate more stimuli.

    • πŸ”₯ Engage in an activity that pushes you out of your comfort zone, gradually increasing your tolerance for stimuli.
