For those torn between their humanity and obligations.

Brave child, today has been a contrast of two domains: you as a human and you under the assumed title of 'worker.' I know you know, sweet child, which is of greater import, but I will say it: you as a human. There is so much in your experience of fear and your attempts to accept and outrun it that those who view your assumed 'workerness' may never understand. There is a deep frustration I feel from you and a longing to opt out of this system. I feel the paradox of choice, as it is not just for you whom you feel responsible but your future children and your loved one. In this way, there is no balance, as one is demanded with greater force. All we can do, wonderful child, is to meet the time we have in our real identity with the greatest embrace and basking such that it shines beyond the shield of necessity. It need not even reach the eyes of others, only your own. I can feel the resignation and distancing from this idea; it is not pleasant to think others can dictate our future, and they can to some extent. Remember that courage is afforded to those who know what pain is and that it comes to those who walk regardless. This includes obligations like "earning." Allow yourself the celebration of the courage you show toward the earning each day and how it wrestles your time. Find ways to shine beyond it with smiles and beautiful interest in all else, as much as is possible. It is the only way to revel rebelliously in the light of the sun. Bring forth your light, and I shall grow in its presence.
