Relate, Reflect and Ruminate: The Cage
Because sometimes, emotions donβt fit into bullet points and I have a flare for the dramatic.
For those feeling trapped by expectations, facing aloneness, and seeking empowerment through self-acceptance.
Take me as I am
Not as you wish to see me
It is a cage you lovingly craft
Out of good will and good intentions.
I am resigned to the capture
Unable to escape the face which views me
Life a swung focus
A dog trained to endure.
Empowerment possible
In the image of the captors
Stockholm strengths a reflection
A dog crippled yet still dangerous.
Aloneness a coin of beauty and curse
Freedom to roam unbound
Reminders and masks
Desiring an illusional self.
Description is impractical
Binoculars trained on a ship sailing to the horizon
Zigging and zagging off its "chartered" course
The captain singing, a melody that you may never hear.
